Residency: When I Close My Eyes and Ears, I Sense You Clearly
23–29 March 2026 | DansiT, Trondheim, Norway
I am very grateful to DansiT (website) for the wonderful opportunity to spend a week in residency in Trondheim. Together with dancers Inger-Reidun Olsen and Mathias Jin Budtz, we explored many aspects of the upcoming project
When I Close My Eyes and Ears, I Sense You Clearly.
I would also like to thank DansiT for publishing information about the project on their website. You can read more here: (link)
During the residency, we invited test audiences from Danselaboratoriet (website), Danseteateret (website), and Teater Eureka (website) to support the development of the work while we refined the space, dramaturgy, and costumes.
We were also kindly invited to a lunch hosted by DansiT, where we got to know more about them and Rosendal Teater (website).
Trondheim was home to the first deaf school in Norway, and the city also has a deaf museum. I visited the museum to learn more about deaf history in Norway and across Europe.
The residency week was an incredibly valuable time for both the project and my artistic development. I am very excited to share the work with audiences soon!
