How to. A score
Performance based on How to die – Inopiné by Mia Habib
Scenography and Costume Design
How to. A Score is developed from the performance score of How to die – Inopiné by Mia Habib. The work is divided into two parts: performance (inside) and storytelling (outside, around a bonfire).
The piece explores the relationship between the body and the community. We collected building materials from the local area in Fredrikstad and brought them onto the stage, asking: How do they transform the space?
The costume design emerges from the score—nature, skin, camouflage, blending. We interpreted the costume as a second skin: glittering fabric textured like scales, covered with sheer pantyhose. During the performance, the pantyhose naturally tear, gradually revealing the shimmering layer beneath—like shedding skin and exposing something new.
