Extraction: Lilacs
23 June 2025 | Oslo, Norway
There was a luxurious scent of lilac everywhere, and I wanted to test whether the extracted lilac would smell the same as when the flowers bloom outdoors.
On the day of extraction, the alcohol scent was too dominant and hadn’t yet merged with the lilac. So I waited two days to see how it would develop.

To me, the scent was still a bit weak. I could recognise the lilac in the background, with slight notes of honey and caramel.

By then, I feel the scent had become more like wild lilac — rich, honey-like, and slightly powdery.
It is interesting to observe how the scent develops over time.
