Dance Collaboration: NSP 2 (NO) x OrganWorks (JP)
Costume Design

To me, this title represents the philosophy behind rhythm and the fundamental movements of dance. Numbers can often appear devoid of emotion and warmth, but that’s not the case at all. On the contrary, I believe it is precisely through numbers that we can clearly express human emotions, states of mind, and concepts such as 'transience' and 'vulnerability.' This is what I wish to explore in this work.

Perhaps you see in this body—which never stands still, but is in constant motion both internally and externally; in your thoughts, which constantly shift between 'yes' and 'no'; in the acceptance that you might fail—the origin of humankind, the atoms, and the vast universe.

But this is only dance. A story told through the body, you say—and that I’ve gone too far in my description. So let us return to the starting point. Here is something I want to ask of you: Add '=1' to the title. Even if it might not change anything, it will be your contribution. Just like a sound, it will leave its mark on the work.

The costume design responds to the narrative through geometric nuance, weaving seamlessly into the choreography.
